Sorting Needed?
  • Not necessary, but helpful.  This will help the process run smoother.
  • If you have items that are duplex (double-sided) sort those out from the simplex (single-sided) items.
  • If you have black and white photos you may want to separate them from your colored photos.  Think about how you may want your newly scanned photos filed on the computer i.e., Kids 2002,  Hawaii 2003, Wedding 1992, etc...
  • You can use index cards with photo details to separate photos.
  • Take photos out of any albums or frames.

Clean off Photos!
Wipe photos with a soft cloth to get finger prints and dust off.  This will help in creating a clean and crisp scan.
What media can be used to store the scanned photos?
  •  External hard drive (If you have one, we recommend storing there.)
  •  DVD/CD (We have for $5.00)
  •  USB thumb drive (We have 2gb for $15.00)
